Sorry for the gap, but I trust you'll understand. On Thursday, July 10, my brother Avrohom and his family went down to the Dead Sea. It was also the day that our daughter Nikki got her new apartment, so I went down to join them, taking some of the Alevy family to Ein Gedi. We had a great time at the Sea, until Mom fell and hurt her side and her head. She had to be taken by Magen David Adom to the hospital, which turned out to be the famous Hadassah Hospital on Mt Scopus in Jerusalem. She was diagnosed with a broken hip (no head injuries) and had a hip replacement on Friday July 11, less than 23 hours after the fall. That Friday was spent at the hospital, until just before sundown when I went to the Western Wall for Friday night services - a remarkable and moving event. No pictures taken until today, Sunday, when we went to visit Mom. Here are some shots from the hospital, which has some of the best views of the city.
